Back at HIMSS18, we announced that we are working with HIMSS Analytics to inform the HIMSS Analytics Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM), the first ever infrastructure maturity model offered through HIMSS Analytics. We are excited about the work HIMSS Analytics has done on this model since then.
For more than a decade, HIMSS Analytics has used its suite of maturity models to help guide healthcare organizations around the globe in technology adoption and implementation through offerings such as EMRAM (Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model) that create benchmarks and standards for healthcare IT. The INFRAM will help senior healthcare IT leaders map the technology infrastructure capabilities required to reach their facility’s clinical and operational goals — and meet industry benchmarks and standards. With its robust infrastructure and security assessment criteria, the HIMSS Analytics INFRAM is a natural addition to HIMSS Analytics’ suite of maturity models.
The new model gives healthcare organizations a clear view of where they stand in terms of infrastructure architecture, provides a clear roadmap for increasing maturity, and ensures successful EMR adoption and other technical implementations. Like the EMRAM, the INFRAM can be used globally to improve patient safety, reduce operational costs and ensure better health for populations.
To learn more about HIMSS Analytics INFRAM, why it’s important, and if your HIT infrastructure is up to par, check out this HIMSS Analytics blog. And stay tuned over the next few weeks to learn more about what INFRAM can mean for your healthcare organization.
