What this game teaches
The hardest part of a worrying symptom is usually not naming it — it is deciding how fast to act. These scenarios practise that judgement on composites written for teaching, where being wrong costs nothing.
Several scenarios cover the patterns that genuinely warrant emergency care: sudden one-sided weakness or speech difficulty, crushing chest pain or chest pain with sweating and breathlessness, the worst headache of your life, and difficulty breathing. Recognising those patterns quickly is the single most useful thing on this page.
Others practise the opposite skill — recognising when something is uncomfortable but reasonable to watch, so that urgency stays meaningful when it matters.
Practice, not triage
Every scenario in this game is invented for teaching. It cannot examine you, ask follow-up questions, or know your history, and a score here means nothing about a real symptom. If you think something might be an emergency — for you or anyone else — call emergency services now rather than working through a game.
